Adoptions – Rusk County Animal Shelter

All intact animals adopted from our shetler MUST be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption, or by the age of six months if adopting a kitten or puppy.

Dog adoptions are $100. If the animal is intact, you will be refunded $25 once the dog has been spayed or neutered by the date given on the adoption contract.

Cat adoptions are $60. If the animal is intact, you will be refunded $25 once the cat has been spayed or neutered by the date given on the adoption contract.

All animals available for adoption have been dewormed, received flea and tick preventative and are up to date on routine vaccinations. Microchipping is included in the cost of adoption.

The undersigned applicant hereby grants the Rusk County Animal Shelter permission to confirm any information provided in this application with any appropriate third party source, including landlords, veterinarians, etc. The information obtained will be held in confidence and used only by the Rusk County Animal Shelter for purposes of this adoption application. I certify that all the information on this application is true and complete. I understand that if any false information, omissions, or misrepresentations are discovered, my application may be rejected. I also understand that this adoption application is at its own discretion. It is specifically understood that the Rusk County Animal Shelter reserves the right to deny any adoption application at its own discretion.
